OK thank you both for your replies. Unfortunately, deleting the contents of the temp folders did not resolve the problem.

I then did a repair install on both Acrobat Pro 9 and Adobe Reader 9.4.1 and this also did not correct the problem.

Not sure what to try next. Is there any way to figuring out what file it is having a problem with? The error message that pops up is less than worthless.
