Why the "day" is not inserted as we read values from Excel to Word?

please, see the attached image that shows my question



i need to write the "day and the date" from excel to word and this is why i used "mailing and insert fields"

the problem that the day appears correctly in the Excel but doesn't in Word!!!! the date is written without the day!!!!!!

How to solve this problem?
