- Libre Office cannot open a document that is password protected for opening without the password. Something other than a password must be getting in the way. What happens if rather than double-clicking on it, you simply open from within Word?
- You can get a free trial of Office 365 which is a little later version of Office 2016.
- Office 2016 is not available directly from Microsoft. Some retailers still have it. Microsoft is selling Office 2019.
- If purchasing newer office (2016, 2019,365), note which applications are included.
