Problem is that I have office 2007 installed. Office 2007 refuses to open the document even though it points to if you right click on the document. Doing some searching I have found that LibreOffice ver 6.1 will open the document, whether or not it stays a Word Doc is yet to be seen, so I made a copy of the original and am using it, that way if LibreOffice changes format the original will stay intact till my other computer is up and running.
Right now I'm looking to purchase Office 2016, no subscription, and am wondering if it's worth it. Will put it on my other computer when operational.
