Hi Guys - any help will be appreciated.
I have added the Minimize window item to my Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) but clicking it does nothing - the document window stays maximised. I should add: this is on Microsoft Word 2010. And I wish to minimize the entire Word application window - even with just one document open nothing happens after clicking the Minimize window button on the QAT. PS: I know that moving the pointer to the top right of the window can access this function but my pointer is most often near the QAT and it is time consuming to move the pointer using the pointer button on my ultrabook. thanks... pps: i wanted to insert an jpg screen shot image I had saved onto my Desktop to illustrate this problem but this website only allows you to add images via a URL addresses? |

Add the MinimizeAll button from the all commands group, if you are really telling us that it is an effort to move the cursor a couple of inches.
![]() Or use the Windows shortcut ALT+Space+N to minimize the active window, whatever the application.

You can attach a screenshot by clicking on the Go Advanced button at the bottom of the posting window and then clicking on the paper clip. I confirm that the command doesn't work in the QAT and agree with Graham that the keyboard shortcut should work for you.
