Outlook fails to download messages
Outlook 2007; Windows Vista: Three times in the last 2 days Outlook has displayed the usual message at bottom right that it was receiving x messages of y KB or MB. Then it says "Send and Receive Complete." The messages are not in my Inbox, or Junk Mail, or any other Folder. Later, hours after Outlook was closed and the computer re-started, some of the messages appeared in the InBox, two of the three times this happened. (I know of more than one message at least that never made it to the InBox.) I've made no change in settings. When I contacted the domain support of my email address, I was toild there were messages for me on their server, at the time of my call. I then hit "Send and Receive". They promptly disappeared from their server but not then to my InBox. Some were delivered to me much later and some not at all. The domain server is set to deliver messages to me as soon as I log on, without my needing to call for them. I'm baffled by these bizaare occurances and wonder if anyone else has expewrienced anything like it. |
