Default Linking A "Single Web Page" to Another Document

Merry Christmas Forum!

I built a single web page format Word doc which uses multiple links and bookmarks. I just learned that the links which open another PDF document are not working. The bookmarks are all good to go.

Is this a limitation of the "Single Web Page" format or is there something I can do so that this word document opens up the PDF when the link is selected?

Thanks for your help!!!!
