Thank you for your reply. It's as I thought.
I've just migrated to Windows 8, (spelt hate with a silent 'h'), and word 13 from 2003. Personally I think ribbons suck, I believe thats what you say. I like my strips of icons + drop downs. They're fast, easy to use and don't take up 'half' the page. Ok you can hide the ribbons but then you need to do an additional move to view them again, and then its the wrong one. Also the ribbons seem to overdo the things you rarely use and don't seem to have so much information on the things you want. Well lets say I'm still looking. And agian why did MS have to posh up the ribbon names. What was wrong with the names (of drop downs) which we had before and were used to. Long live 2003. Oh and XP. |
