I recently learned that the Organizer can be used to copy styles from one document to another. I have used it several times, saving a lot of time over my previous method of doing a copy format (Ctrl+Shift+C) for each style.
I just tried it to copy two styles (Caption and Heading 1) from a template (xyz.dotx) to a document (abc.docx). The Caption style does not appear to be copied at all and the Heading 1 style copies only part of the properties (it does not copy the font color). If I open a new document (Ctrl+N), define a Heading 1 and a Caption, then follow the same procedure, both the Hdeading 1 and Caption styles are copied except for the font color. Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong? Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 08-31-2015 at 08:57 AM. Reason: Mark as solved |
