![]() Where to did you copy the Normal template? Placing a renamed copy of the file in the Startup folder (to find the location of that folder, look in the File Locations dialog box) should make the macros globally available. (I'm assuming that MacWord works the same as WinWord in this respect.)

Does that mean you are replacing the Normal file already in that folder (Word always has a file named "Normal")?

Tried both renaming the file that was in User Templates and overwriting the existing file. Neither worked.

Replacing the Normal file isn't recommended, but adding to the Startup folder should definitely work. The assumption is that the file added is a macro-enabled template.
