What is the big deal in using colors combinations that are so hard to read?

In the favorites pane, the e-mail address that is associated with the folder is light gray on white and extremely difficult to read. The subject line lettering color in the list of e-mail messages is bit darker and almost readable.

Who chose these colors and can I change them to something useable?

I see this all over the internet too: light green or pale yellow on a white background are not unusual. Why is this?

Do programmers just hate old people?
Is this some kind of revenge?

Outlook 2010

I have no idea why they choose the colors they do. You can change them in the Control Panel Display settings on your computer. I have my Outlook set so that all lettering is white and the background is black. It is so much easier to read for me.

Start > Control Panel > Display > Personalization > Window Color

You could also choose different themes which have preset colors you can use.

What have they got, some 6 year old choosing the colors? The high contrast 1 is still offensive but less so than the others.

Tired the theme changes. The lease objective one still gave problems. What was black disappeared wit the new black background )-:

It seems that MS gives the illusion of versatility then can't manage it...
Everything has to be the default in order to work.
