![]() Trying to link newly added Classic Outlook to AOL account. (PC had to have operating system re-installed due to malware. My old Office stuff was gone so I got a reduced cost version of Office 2019 through an employee discount.) When trying to bring up Classic Outlook it does not go all the way to the 'normal' Outlook screen. Normally, I'd follow File>Accounts>Email accounts>Add email accounts to work my way through the process. Outlook immediately asks for an email address (so I give them my xxx.verizon.net address that is being managed by AOL). With some difficulty, I was able to determine the proper servers and ports. When our regular password didn't work, I followed AOL instructions for one-time password for Outlook. That also failed. My attempts using regular password and one-time password are in attachment. |

It would appear that your POP Account Setting are incorrect, based on this page.
Configure POP and IMAP settings for Verizon.net AOL Mail accounts Also, you should probably get a new App Password since you published your current one. Although App Passwords are displayed with spaces, sometimes they should actually be entered with no spaces. I don't have any experience with AOL but this was the case with GMail. |
