Hi David,
A simple search for files with the '~' prefix or .tmp suffix probably won't find the files you need to find, because the folders they're likely to be in are hidden. That's why I suggested inputting the following paths into Windows Explorer's folder path field: C:\Users\%UserName%\Appdata\Local\Temp C:\Users\%UserName%\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Word Once you get to those folders, you can see whether any relevant files are there. I'd be surprised if neither folder had any.
