My custom heading styles are based on the defaults -- Heading 1, Heading 2, and so on.
The custom headings aren't showing up in the table of contents. If I format them with the default heading styles, they do show up in the table of contents. What can I do to fix this? I'm in Word 2024. (There is no Word 2024 in the profile, so I chose 2021.) |

Guess: Assign an outline level of 1 to 3 to your custom paragraph styles. Outlining - Outline Level Styles You could attach a sample document with one of your custom heading and TOC field here and I or someone else can take a look at it. Attach a Sample File Demonstrating the Problem - Here's How |

So why not use the built-in Heading Styles and modify them to suit your needs?
