Hi
I have a Word document for my quizzes - Set up so the answer is on the right side of the line if the answer is longer that the gap at the end its goes to the start of the next line - How can I make up just drop to below where I have the TAB set Q1 (A) |

One way is to use a two-column table, with the answers on the right.

in my old word, it simply dropped below the tab and continued to write
Using the 365 word it has changed - I figured out how to set the right tab for the (a) Answer Do you mean inset boxes? |

Maybe we are talking about different things. Are you perhaps trying to set up a hanging indent? See the attached screen shot.

To set up the hanging indent, you can drag the indent marker (see the screen shot in my previous reply), or you can use the option in the Paragraph dialog box.

in fact, it used to go under the M for Murder - but now if I press Tab to move it over it gets locked in the TAB position

I'm glad you got it sorted.
When the "question part" is long, you have to set a very large hanging indent (as you have probably noticed). Sometimes, using a two-column table will be easier in those cases. Insert a new row for each new question. You can hide the table borders so that they do not print.

Maybe the margins are too big for the document page to accommodate a 15 cm indent in your initial document (or template).
