Hi friends! Hope you are all well!
Does someone have an ingenious way to create a special custom user property (preferably Yes/no but any will do) for a group of 100 doc files in one shot without having to do so manually for each file? Thank you and have a good day! Susan Flamingo |

Thank you for your attention and the solution!
But is there a way to have custom doc properties (in this case "customstring") show up under the info section (see attached) not requiring me to locate them in the properties dialog box (see attachment 2) Thank you and have a good day! Susan Flamingo |

I do not know of a way.
Microsoft has confused the issue by calling different things Document Properties. Custom properties have always only been available through that dialog. Here is Greg Maxey's page on the "Document Properties" under Quick Parts: Enhanced Document Properties AddIn It won't answer your need, though. He does give a macro that will list both the built-in and custom properties. |
