That black arrow does not print. It is there to show you an expanded heading.
Apparently that paragraph is a blank paragraph.
Click in it without selecting anything and change the style to Normal.

It also helps figuring out problems in Word in you display the non-printing formatting marks. They would show where you have pressed the Enter key.
