I am having an issue with printing in MS Word 2010. Every time I print a document another page prints with the properties of the documents, ie editing time, user, etc. I have noticed that print markup is checked by default and will not uncheck but is that what that second page is? Could it be something completely different?

To stop the comments being printed, go to 'File', 'Options', 'Display' and uncheck 'Print document properties'. This will stop it.

But how do I stop Print Markup from printing by default?

To change the default, go to Word Options|Display > Printing Options and uncheck 'Print document properties'.

I can't uncheck it because it is already unchecked, but that still doesn't change the default so that I don't have to uncheck "Print Markup" every time I want to print.

hi csmith,
You have confused matters by posting in a thread whose subject matter concerns Word's Summary stats page. 'Print Markup' has nothing to do with the Summary stats page - it's to do with tracked changes and only concerns documents with such changes. If you don't want to see that warning, go to Word Options|Trust Center|Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options and uncheck "Warn before printing, saving or sending a file that contains tracked changes or comments".
