Then, go for a complete uninstall/reinstall. Make sure you have the installation disk and product key. Back up your normal.dotm template before the uninstall.

Use the Easy Fix application available as option 2 here: Uninstall Office from a PC - Office Support
Make sure you click on the tab for Office 2010.
