Re: the 'black rectangular squares line' problem, without actually seeing the problem content, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post showing some of these black rectangular squares? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.



Re: the 'thin line around the text on every page' problem, that's most likely due to you having checked the 'Show text boundaries' option. See under File|Options|Advanced>Show document content.
