If the Normal template hasn't been customized (or, more specifically, if its styles haven't been customized) it isn't unusual for Word to display only a few styles in the Organizer.

Is there any way to get it to display all of its styles, which would, it seems to me, be the default? |

The default is NOT to display all styles in the Organizer dialog box. For a Normal template with factory default settings, this is particularly apparent, since there is only a minimum of styles available in the dialog box. (The attached image was created for a Word session running in Safe mode, which reverts all Word settings to their defaults.)

What you can do is post feedback on this behavior. Go to the Word section in the Uservoice forum at http://word.uservoice.com.
