Default Delete line above sidenote

Hello everybody,

I've writte a long text in word with certain sides in ladscape mode. The whole file is supposed to be (dual-side) printed so I had to manually adjust the side numbers' position for the sides in landscape mode. The page numbers need to be on the left side in a vertical arrangement to be at the bottom when everything is printed. I used a text field and it worked out ok. However, the former place where the page numbers used to be still have that line, which marks the footnotes, at the top of them. How can I get rid of this line without losing the line which is now on the side?

You're going about this the wrong way. See: http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Format...apeSection.htm
That said, I have no idea what you mean re 'footnotes'. Nothing in your post indicates whether these landscape pages have them; if they do, the footnotes will naturally orient to the landscape format. If that's not what you want, see especially 'Using a table with Text Wrapping' in the above link and rotate the text within the table.

Paul has given you the steps to add a landscape section in a portrait document.

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish with footnote separators, but note that you can modify or delete separators from the Footnotes pane which you can display if you first switch to Draft view. For more on this, see http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/NoteSeparators.htm.
