How to Find the Normal Template
The location of the user templates folder is the folder where you find the normal template.

If you have not changed that location, that is the default location.
If you have changed the location, Word will not look for your templates in the default location. It may not anyway. See below.

The default location is not necessarily the desirable location. Look also into the location set for your Custom Office Templates. That is an easier location to reach if you are using the default File>New screen. If you are using the default file new screen rather than the legacy FileNew dialog, you will not be able to have access to templates that are stored in the user templates folder. You will have access to those that are stored in a Workgroup templates folder when you have designated something as a Workgroup Templates Folder. Either method will look for files in the Workgroup Templates folder. If you use the legacy dialog, it will not look for templates in the Custom Office Templates folder.
