I have a lengthy document (multi-level numbering) that has cross-references throughout to different clauses in the document as well as to schedules at the back of the document. [Schedule 1.1(a) is cross-referenced to clause 1.1(a).] Linking within body works fine so far. (Note. I am only using the schedule number not the schedule description in the body of the document.)
My problem is with cross-referencing the schedules to the TOC. In this case, I want both the schedule no. and schedule description. (Schedule 1.1(a) Accounts Receivable) to appear in the TOC. Is there any kind of switch or workaround (not Alt + Shift + O) to make all the references update without any manual manipulation? After I set this document up properly, other operators with little formatting expertise will be editing. I'm using Word 2007. |
