Hello,
I download packing slips from my shipping software, then convert them from a PDF to a Word document because I have to edit a few fields before sending them off to a supplier. There's a field called Ship Date and I need to be able to enter text across from that but just can't figure out how, it goes to the next line instead. I've attached a sample for you to look at, please let me know if anyone knows how to do this. Thanks for any help! |

If you turn on the display of non-printing characters (click the [¶] button in the Home ribbon), you'll see there's some sort of break just after the label Ship Date. Put the cursor before the ¶ mark, type in the date you need and then clear the bold.
Convert from .pdf to Word (or most other things) usually throws up problems, because it's not what .pdf is designed for. |

Thanks! That was it. I didn't see that the cursor had to be one more space to he left.
