Default Table of Contents Numbering Colours

Hi guys,

Hopefully this should be relatively simple.
I've been trying to sort out an epic mess which is my company's default report format and have for the most part sorted it out. However, I'm running into a minor issue with the table of contents; see below.



Feel free to tell me if this is awful practice, but I've got two multi-level lists in the document. The first one is the 1/1.1/1.1.1/1.1.1.1 headings, associated with heading styles 1-4, and the second one is Appendix A/A.1/A.1.1/A.1.1.1 headings, associated with styles 5-8. Table of contents quite simply links to the styles. However, I'm getting the coloured numbers for headings 1 - 4.

It's worth noting that these styles are in the blue colour displayed in the table of contents. I've tried explicitly choosing 'black' as the colour for all the ToC styles but it did nothing...


Any suggestions?
