I have set up a Table of Contents using a "Manual" (not using any of the direct help of Word '03) method using TOC and TC fields. I want the Level 2 numbering in the attached file to restart numbering in each subsequent Level 2 Section after each Level 1 Heading, but I am unable to do so.
That is, instead one section going 1-3, the next 4-8, then 5-10, etc., I desire 1-3, 1-5, 1-6, etc. Is the "Manual" TOC setup (using your own fields and creating 'organically') or the "wizard" TOC setup your preferred method? Why? What switching methods and TOC references do you prefer to use in order to create TOC's and other tables or indexes, etc? I am sure I am mis-implementing Styles somehow but cant figure out the problem. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance, Macropod (? ![]() Last edited by ztag; 01-18-2012 at 09:05 PM. |
