Hello experts,
I'm wondering if there is a way for the page numbers to update automatically for headings in the table of contents when making changes to the location of the heading itself. Ex: Heading 1.4.2 was originally in page 5, also shown in the table of contents. If I decided this 1.4.2 belongs in the next page, how would I make it so it automatically updates it to page 6 in the table of contents as well as updating the rest of the page numbers if they are changed? Thank you! Regards, Hallet Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 03-07-2014 at 07:17 PM. Reason: Mark as solved |

Update the table of contents
If you added or removed headings or other table of contents entries in your document, you can quickly update the table of contents.

Or, right-click on the TOC and tell it to update.
