Default Can't move picture

I'm working with a Word template provided with my Compulabel disk labels.

The whole page of labels is represented by a Word picture the size of the 8½-by-11 sheet.

When I insert a picture for the label, the picture appears, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to manually move it into place. The usual move icon does not appear when the cursor is on the inserted picture.

The template is attached.

The image virtually fills the page, so you will not have much scope to move it and keep all of it in view, but insert the cursor in the image, left click and drag the image where you want it to go.

I note that the image appears to be a CD label. I would caution against sticking paper labels on CD/DVD. These can result in out of balance forces when the disc is rotating at high speed sufficient, in some circumstances, to destroy the player.

Default I think I misled you.

I think I misled you. The huge picture of the disk outlines covers the page. Over that picture I paste another, smaller picture to be part of the disk label when printed. It's the smaller image I cannot move. I have tried left-click-drag, but no luck. The only picture I can move is the large one with the disk outlines.

OK - that's a different issue. Select the main picture and click CTRL+X to cut it to the clipboard. Open the Header view and Ctrl+V to paste it back. Close the header view.

Now insert your smaller image in the main page. Right click and Format > Picture. Set the layout option to 'In front of text'. You can now move it around.
