Default Problem while saving as pdf

Hi,
I made a file in word, consisting of a cover for a book. When I try to save it as pdf, the background image gets small and repeated many times. I have attached pic of both files (left 1 is from word and right 1, with multiple square is its pdf version).

I would appreciate a lot if any1 can help me out in this.

Thanx a lot..

How did you add the picture? Note that pictures inserted as backgrounds will be displayed as tiles, by default.

Yes, I added it as a background effect.. Any other way for it? or Will I have to add pic and use 0" margin?

Background fill effects will always fill the page, with tiles if the picture is small. You can add a picture directly on the page, anchored to the page header if you want it to repeat throughout the document.

Note, however, that it is entirely up to your printer if zero margins are supported.

a bit confused..I agree that if image is small, it will be repeated as tiles. But my word doc shows it fine. Its after i convert it to pdf, it gets changed. So if it shows 1 complete background in docx file, it should be such as pdf also..Shouldnt it??

If you preview the Word document, then what do you see? Click File | Print.

First of all, select the option to "Print background colors and images" at File tab | Options | Display.

See if your printer has a setting for printing background images. If there isn't one, try adding the background as an ordinary picture instead (anchored to the page header if it is supposed to repeat on several pages).
