I'm new to the forum and here is my first question that I hope somebody can help with.
I'm working on an Interactive Form in Word 2010 using the Developer Menu. I have learned how to create Drop Down Lists and Check Boxes.
I wondering if this is possible: If a check box is ticked, can it bring up further check boxes?

You can, but is far from simple.
You need to bookmark the checkboxes and test for the value using an IF field or a macro. If an IF field, you have the subsidiary checkboxes in the "truetext" part of the IF field.

Userforms require that macros be enabled.

Yes, it is possible. Two possible methods spring to mind.

Method 1: Instead of a checkbox, you could use a Building Block Gallery Content Control where the dynamic content is stored as a building block which appears when the user selects that option from the CC.

Method 2: Add the dynamic content as if it were already visible and then bookmark that range. Next you create a macro that runs when the user changes or exits the checkbox and sets that bookmarked range as either hidden or visible according to the value in the checkbox.
