Hello,
I'm hoping for some clarification on how styles within documents work, and how templates affect documents they are attached to. I'll post three screenshots to illustrate why I am confused. This first screenshot shows that there is a document I am working with. It was originally created with a template that is not on my machine: http://i.imgur.com/SVbXbIg.png There is no "Documents and Settings" folder on the root of my C:/ drive - I have Windows 7, not XP. I do not have any templates on my machine, other than the Normal.dot file, shown here: http://i.imgur.com/CeN1dIr.png Yet, if you look at the quick-style-access toolbar I've highlighted in Red in the above picture, you'll see I have 9 Heading styles available in the document. My normal.dot template file on my machine only has 2 Heading styles. In fact, here's what a document looks like when I create a new document from scratch: http://imgur.com/M5M4713,IqmM5b8,GPbSp0e#1 So, what I'm wondering is: Why can I see Headings 1 - 9 in screenshots one & two, when I don't even have the template that the document was made with?
