Default Help with putting footers into all but the first section in Word 2010

I've been having some trouble putting in my footer. It keeps putting it in for all the sections and I only need all but the first section, that being the title page. Is there a way to put it in for every section but the first, and if so can anybody help me find the instructions for that? I have MS Office Professional 2010 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

Any help would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks a lot
Sincerely Katherine Logan AKA "Maghdalena"
