Default How to specify Document Title from the body of my Document

Hello,

I know how to go in and manually change the title on a document. But I would like to be able to point the Title Field to a certain area on my document, and have it set the title from there. Much like how we are able to set certain text as Heading styles, I want to set certain text as the Title.

I don't really understand how fields work, so if anyone thinks that's the way to go, I'm all ears.

The ultimate purpose of this is I am creating a template and I want the footer to be updated by information in the body of the document, instead of having to remember to change the footer. So if I'm on the wrong track, you can redirect me
