Hi all. I'm new here. I have a very odd problem when printing from word on a Star TSP800 receipt printer. I have a piece of software that uses a word template to print receipts.



The problem is this.

The receipt size is 104mm wide by 200mm long. Iv spoken to Star and I have all the printer setting correct such as paper size ect and have confimred the issue is not the printer.

In word when I set the page size as 104 x 200 and and put some text on the LH side as normal, when i then print from word it starts to print from the far right hand side and cuts off all the text, it's like it has a 90mm margin however all margins are set at 2mm all around. Here is where it gets strange, if I set the page size as A4 and print it again works fine and prints the first 104mm of the 210mm A4 page with with the document 2mm from the left hand side as it should be, now as I reduce the width of the page in word the text moves furth and further right, eg if I set it at 150mm the printing starts about 50mm into the paper, the lower I set the width the further right it prints.

It's driving me mad, iv been thought all drivers and it allcomes back to word as it works fine from word pad.

Any ideas ?

Have you tried:
• tried repairing the Office installation (via Programs & Features > Microsoft Office > Change in the Windows Control Panel)?
• reinstalling the printer driver?

Does the page look correct in Print Preview? How about if you save the file as a PDF - does the PDF look and print right?
