Default Confirmed Bitlocker Recovery Code not accepted

I just purchased a new Dell ECT-1250 Windows 11. I cannot boot into recovery mode because the bitlocker recovery key does not work. I confirmed the key with my Dell account. Dell re-installed the OS but bitlocker still does not recognize the key. There is only 1 device and I tried to enter the key multiple times so I know that I am typing it correctly.

Can someone please assist?

Howard

The problem was resolved by Dell Tech Support. I had 2 problems: first I had the key from an old account. Secondly, even with the correct key I repeatedly received an error message 'something happened, cannot locate the key'. Tech support instructed me to click 'sign-on' options and continue with the sign-on process by selecting 'password'.
