ERR(AUTH) Username and password not accepted

Hi out there:

I have been using Outlook 2019 (POP) to work my Gmail accounts for a long while. Out of the blue two days ago I started to receive this error message; and I did not touch any settings.
Is there anyone capable of helping me to understand what happens
