Hi,

Have you got the "updating task status, updates resource status" option checked? This may be causing the problem if you are using resources.

The way round it for the tasks is to, from the task usage view: -

1. Add the actual start date to the table and enter the actual start date.
2. On the right hand side, add the actual work row and add the actual work on the right hand side
3. Delete any future work from the work row, ie: remaining work =0
4. Set the actual finish date.

This works for me so hopefully it will help you.
