Sorry, I cannot duplicate this. I assuming you haven't added anything to the files while opened in 2010 that Project 2007 doesn't recognize (inactive tasks, manually scheduled tasks).

On a copy of the file, open in 2010, Save AS XML and try opening in 2007. It is possible that repeated back and forth passings has caused some corruption.
