VBA create label with slideindex

I'm making a work instruction where I tell people to reference such-n-such a slide. Problem is, the slide may move.

I'd like to have a button that creates a label (maybe named the date and time) and names it with the active slide's slideindex. Then I could move the label to another slide and it would always reference the slide where it was created.

My VBA is weak, especially in PowerPoint. Any help would be appreciated.
