A client has sent me a PowerPoint file which I am to change into a slideshow. I know how to do this, but when I do so the client's existing transitions are lost.
Is there a way to change a PowerPoint file (.pptx) into a slideshow (.ppsx) and retain the existing transitions? Thank you. |

Taking an existing pptx and saving it as a ppsx should not make any changes to the content, transitions or animations in the file.
Can you check if the transitions are native to powerpoint? IOW: Do they exist as one of the default transitions in the gallery or is it some form of custom setup in the file? |

As Rudi says saving a pptx as a ppsx does not remove or change any transitions.
Are you using the same version of PPT throughout? There are transitions in 2013 that won't play in 2010 and transitions in 2010 that won't play in 2007 Are you sure you haven't saved as a pps? |
