Default MS Office 2021 - Receive every Email twice

Hello colleagues, I know, a lot has been written about this topic, but nothing has helped me so far. The following: I used Office 2021 on one PC (win11) and on two laptops (win10+11). At T-Online I have two email addresses and both configured via pop3 in Outlook. It has been working fine for a long time.

Now I have also installed Office 2021 on a Dell Latitude 5285 with Win10. All now 4 computers with Office 2021 are licensed and have exactly the same settings! Only on the Dell all emails appear twice, no matter which email was addressed. As a test, I took an email address out of the account, then emails for the remaining address only appear once. But I don't want it to be like that and it works perfectly with the other 3 computers. What can be the reason for this?

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it's unusual and only on the Dell Latitude. Under Send-Receive Groups in the edit window "Delivery Settings-All Accounts", the two buttons "OK" and "Cancel" are missing in the bottom right. So I can't make any changes here.
I would be happy about every super tip!

Thanks for the tip, but that doesn't work here. As I described above:
"Under Send-Receive Groups in the edit window "Delivery Settings-All Accounts", the two buttons "OK" and "Cancel" are missing in the bottom right."
This means I can't make any changes to the Send/Receive Group because I can't save them.

"delete the SRS" to fix problems with send and receive

What is the SRS file? (And where is it?) - Outlook Tips

Unfortunately, that didn't help. I deleted the *.SRS file and restarted Outlook. The send and receive settings are the same as before.

Close Outlook.
{Check in Task Manager to be sure it's not running in the background}

Delete the SRS file.

Just ONCE, run Outlook as Admin.
Starting Outlook as an Administrator on Windows 10 - Robert 365

Once Outlook has opened:
Open the Send/Receive Groups dialog. {Ctrl+Alt+s}
Select the "All Accounts" Group.
[Edit]
{Are your mail accounts listed?}
{Does each one have "[/] Include the selected account in this group" checked?
{Are the OK/Cancel buttons active?}

Close Outlook.
Restart as normal user.
{Check again}

I did everything as you instructed.
Each account has "[/] Include the selected account in this group" checked.
Only the OK/Cancel button are still not visible.
And in the Roaming...outlook binder I have a Outlook~1.srs file.

I'm stumped.

I can't find a Group Policy that would lock Send/Receive. But if you're in a IT managed environment, check with your Admin.

Can't tell from your pics - Is the "New" button enabled? If so, can you add and edit a new Group?

When you say duplicated, do you mean received emails, ones you sent, or both?

I have created a new send/receive account, but the OK/Cancel buttons are missing here too.
The multiple emails are only received.
I have tried several email addresses at T-Online and the following:
If I enter only one email address under Account and send an email to this address from another computer with a different email account, the email only appears once in Outlook.
If I enter a second email and send a message to the first email, it appears twice. If I have three emails in the account, the same email appears three times in Outlook. And I suspect it will continue like this.
However, if I enter two emails in my account from different providers, e.g. @T-ONLINE and @VODAFON, and send messages to them, they only appear once each.

Now it's your turn - and all my other computers with the same OS and Office don't have this problem.

You said you are using POP3 on multiple PCs.

Do I understand correctly that you have your POP3 accounts configured to "Leave email on the server"? i.e. When you download your mail to a PC it stays on the server until you explicitly tell Outlook to Delete it?

I ask, because the next of "The Usual Suspects" would be your Outlook Profile. And the standard test is to create a new Profile. But I need to be sure that any email downloaded by the new Profile is not going to remove the messages from the server, because it will only be a test. We are not going to keep the emails downloaded by that profile. (At least not at first).

If you are OK with this, then:

Create a new Profile.
Use a different PST file than the one used by your Old Profile.
Add only one of your email accounts.
Create an Outlook profile - Microsoft Support

Switch to the New Profile
Switch to another Outlook email profile - Microsoft Support

Check the Send/Receive pages. Got the OK/Cancel buttons? If so:

Add the other email account to the New Profile
Use the same PST file as the first account.
Add an email account to Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support

Check the Send/Receive pages. Got the OK/Cancel buttons?

Switch back to your Old Profile.

Hello Hornblower and first of all thank you very much for the great support!
My Outlook computers are configured so that emails on my main computer are deleted from the POP server after they have been downloaded. The external computers are configured so that emails remain on the POP server. Unless I delete them because of spam, advertising, etc.
I've already tried that with a different profile and a different .pst file. The result was the same.

Here's what I'm going to do now. I still have the original SSD with the original Dell Windows 10 and no MS Office. I'll install this SSD in the next few days and install MS Office 2021. I'll configure Outlook with a dummy email and then see what the send/receive window looks like, i.e., whether the OK/Cancel buttons are there.

I keep you updated!

So, here's a quick update.
I attached an external disk with Windows 11 to the Latitude and installed MS Office 2021. Then I configured Outlook with two email addresses, each with its own .pst file.
First, the good thing. The Send/Receive Buttons ON/Cancel are back!
I guess I need to reinstall Office on the main drive.

Then I sent an email to one of the two email accounts, and lo and behold, it arrived twice. Once in the inbox where it was supposed to go, and once in the other one as well.

I'll probably have to do a bit more tinkering on that this weekend.

So, I uninstalled MS Office from the internal SSD on my Dell Latitude. Then I cleaned the registry and deleted all Office folders. Rebooted the system and reinstalled Office.
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint appeared neutral upon startup.
Then I started Outlook and prepared myself to enter accounts, mailboxes, etc. But Outlook started with all the parameters as before. And the OK/Cancel buttons were missing from the Send/Receive transmission window.

Where the hell did Outlook get the previous data from and configure it on its own? I'm taking this very personally and am furious.
I'd better throw away the Latitude.
