ok, here goes.... win 7 64-bit, Office 2010 SP1 - 32 bit, Exchange server 2007.
We are getting several emails with empty squares in the message body instead of text. (but not all of the text.) odd thing is, if I switch Outlook to read emails in plain text mode, some of the emails display all of the text just fine. On other emails, the squares turn into smaller boxes with a question mark inside. multiple machines, with multiple user accounts |

I have seen similar behavior when the text contains "special" characters, that your viewing text does not contain. You might try changing the viewing font.
I have also seen similar behavior when the text contains "hidden" items, such as links that the sender does not want you to see. If the emails are from trusted senders, this is probably not the issue. |

the font used to view the emails doesn't matter, they will always be squares.
if you copy the text and past into word, same problem if you reply and select all the text, change the font, same problem. I have also tried viewing the emails in multiple encoding formats (UTF-8, UTF7, etc...) |

when forwarding the email, then selecting the squares. the font is showing as Z_C00014.tmp (or some other number-letter combination.tmp) I've installed a right-to-left language pack in hopes that may help - it didn't.
I've installed fonts that were in XP and not used in Vista or Win 7 - didn't help. |
