Hello msperry

Thank you for your reply, apologies in the delay of mine.
  • On any machine that exhibits the problem, switch from using HTML to plain text (via Tools...Options...Mail Format).
Thank you, but I want to avoid this one. Plain emails distances ourselves from the friendly appearance that HTML provides. I also associate plain emails with accessing emails from out of the office, or someone without an email application..

  • Disable all add-ins and/or start Outlook in safe mode (via Start...Run..."C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Outlook.exe /safe"). Also try disabling all Microsoft Word add-ins, as Outlook uses Word to format emails.
Thank you, I'll change the outlook shortcut to reflect this. I hope this changes it.

  • Run an Outlook Detect and Repair operation. Go to Help...Detect and Repair
Just ran the Outlook detection, unfortunately nothing appeared.

I'll try the Safe mode option and see if it re-appears.
Thanks again for the advice msperry
