That doesn't make any sense to me - the GWX control panel is a utility for blocking and removing a Win 10 'upgrade'. Removing and blocking the utility won't achieve anything beneficial in that regard.
If you're still having problems with Office after trying to repair it, you may need to uninstall & reinstall it. If you can't uninstall Office from the Windows Control Panel, see: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...ad=US&fromAR=1
