If you do not choose to select freeze columns AND rows, and you choose to freeze, for example, just the top 3 rows and no columns, Excel will only freeze 1 of the 3 rows.
This makes zero sense so I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing. |

View - Freeze Panes - Freeze Panes (Top of 3 possibilities) This works for me. Leaves the top three rows "frozen". |

Yep--that works. But isn't it strange that freeze panes doesn't overtly allow selecting multiple rows in a normal, straightforward manner (selecting row 1,2,etc).

If you want to freeze say the 250000 first rows, it seems easier to me to select cell A250001 ( F5 - Goto) and then freezing, then trying to select 250000 rows...
