Re: #2. In Word 2003, Right-clicking on a picture usually reveals a menu with a 'Format Picture' option. The wrapping tools can be found there. Re: #3. Unless the start & end are very close together, you should see more than that. Again, right-clicking on the line (after the cursor changes to a cross-arrow)reveals a menu with a 'Format AutoShape' option. Tools for resizing, changing the line colour & thickness can be found there. Re: #4. The Page Setup tools remain available while you're in a header/footer (via File|Page Setup). Without seeing the actual document, I can't really say exactly how the effects were achieved. If you attach the document to a post (delete anything sensitive), I'll take a look at it. You can do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab.
