Hope someone can solve this. Until today, whenever I opened WORD (I have 2007 version), "Doc 1" would appear by default. Then, if I didn't want to do a new doc. but see an old one, I'd click on Open and bring the desired document up. This doc would remove "Doc 1" from my screen.
But I must have hit some button by mistake today. Because now, when I open WORD, Doc 1 will still appear. But when I open an existing document, Doc 1 REMAINS. This means that when I'm ready to exit WORD, I always have to cancel out Doc 1 too, even though it's blank--an annoying extra step. Can anyone tell me how to return to having Doc 1 disappear whenever I start up WORD and open an existing document? Many thanks in advance. |
