Default

Hi Art,
Quote:
Previously when I closed my existing Document, Document 1 would then reappear.
With the 'Show all windows in the Taskbar' option, that's normal - and its name gets changed to 'Document 2'. Don't ask me why.

But now (that I cleared everything off of Document 1 and saved it)
Why did you do anything to it? If your default document has something extraneous on it when it loads, you need to clear it from the Normal template. Editing and saving 'Document1' isn't going to fix the problem. All that will do is put a document named 'Document1' on your disk.

when I try to close out of it, yes, it does still ask me if I want to save it.
If you've already saved it, or if you had simply left it alone, I can't see why that would happen. Do you have any macros or addins that run when you start Word?
