Default Selecting styled text

In Word 2003 I could select all the text in a document that uses a particular style (from the Styles pane, drop down the style I wanted to select and click "Select All).

In my office's installation of Word 2007, the words "Select All: Not Currently Used" are grayed out. Is there something that need to be set up to use this functionality?

I'm replacing an existing style with a new style; rather than changing all the details of the style definition with the new definition, I'd like to just select all the text using the existing style and apply the new style.

I know I can use the Format option in the Find and Replace dialog, but I kind of miss the warm fuzzy of being able to see exactly which text in the document is being replaced first.

Thanks!
